Hi Brandi!
Welcome to planDisney.
I have experienced
Aerophile - The World Leader in Balloon Flight at Disney Springs, and I loved it! It's already on my list to do again! I think it's a much-overlooked attraction.
You can take a small bag, as long as you are wearing it - so a small crossbody bag would be fine, or even a small backpack, such as Loungefly. The standing area is quite limited, so they don't want guests arriving with all their Disney Springs shopping bags because there isn't anywhere to store them safely out of the way.
I don't remember there being any seats, so I would guess that anyone using a wheelchair would have to stay seated in the wheelchair, and this could restrict their view. The centre of the basket is completely open, so when standing around the outside you can look almost directly below the balloon - scary and fascinating all at the same time. The views across the Resort are fantastic!, but I'm thinking that because the sides are solid, and you can only see out above approximate waist level, it may not be the best experience for someone who remains seated. I recommend you take a look at some videos on YouTube so you can gauge the viewing experience for yourself. You can get a very good idea from this
photo on the Disney Springs website.
It is a very fun thing to do, but I just want your entire family to have the best experience.
The whole flight takes about 10 minutes, and is often cancelled due to weather conditions, so please keep your eye on your My Disney Experience app for up-to-date information.
Please come back and visit us if you have any further questions, or you can
send me a direct question if you wish. We will be happy to help you plan your magical vacation to Walt Disney World!
