Hi, there!
Welcome to planDisney, Mary. I'm so happy you stopped by and even happier to hear you'll be visiting the
Walt Disney World Resort soon!
As a mom of three, I always visit the theme parks with a well-stocked backpack over my shoulder. I probably pack it with more than I need to, but I'm a certified over-packer - I can't help it! In my backpack, you'll find hand sanitizer, bottled beverages, snacks, ponchos, baby wipes, sunscreen, and a stash of gallon-sized Ziploc bags (these come in handy for all sorts of reasons!).
To answer your question,
any bags, coolers, or backpacks taken into the theme parks must be no larger than 24" long x 15" wide x 18" high. It's important to also note that loose or dry ice is not permitted in the theme parks, so if you want to keep something cold in your bag or purse, I suggest using reusable ice packs or packing ice in a sealed Ziploc bag. Keep in mind that all bags are subject to screening and security checks.
As you start packing your bags and finalizing all your vacation plans in the days ahead, take some time review the
Know Before You Go section of the Walt Disney World Resort website. It has lots of important information about the health and safety measures that are being taken in
and out of the theme parks!
I hope this was helpful, Mary. I'm wishing you a magical stay at the Walt Disney World Resort!
