Hello, is there a bag policy at Disney? Can I take a backpack in?

Hey there, hi there, Jaime! Welcome to planDisney. We love every opportunity we get to help Guests get the answers to all of their planning questions!

The countdown is on! In just a few days, you will be at The Happiest Place on Earth! I am happy to share that you should not have any issue bringing in a standard backpack. Within the property rules, it states that a bag larger than 24" long x 15" wide x 18" high is not permitted. As long as your bag is smaller than the dimensions listed, you should be good to go! You will find many park Guests with backpacks to carry all of your park essentials. I definitely recommend a portable power bank and a charging cord for your phone, sunscreen, hand sanitizer, and a reusable water bottle. There are bottle-filling stations all throughout both parks so you can stay hydrated.

The Disneyland app will be your helpful park companion. This is where you will be able to access your eTicket for the parks, double-check show times and park hours, use the map to see the attraction wait times, and more. This will also be where you purchase and use Lightning Lane Multi Pass if you are considering this add-on experience. One of my favorite features of the app is the ability to mobile order food from participating locations. I love how convenient it is to mobile order our next snack or meal while we are in the queue of an attraction or deciding on our next must-do.

Jaime, thanks so much for stopping by! See you real soon!

Meet the Panelist: Carrie, California

Well hello there, friend! I'm Carrie, a work-from-home mom and military wife who currently calls sunny San Diego home. You'll find my family in the parks braving drops and coasters to work up our appetite to take as many snack breaks as we can. While Disneyland is our home away from home, we love trying to make a Walt Disney World Resort vacation happen at least once a year now too. All my friends know I'm the go-to for Disney advice, so I'm here to help you plan and experience the magic on your visit! Learn More About Carrie
