How bad are steps/hills to get to rides/slides at Typhoon Lagoon? I know some waterparks, you gotta climb several flights of stairs. I’m limited due to knee issues and other health stuff.

    Rebonjour Nicole,

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

During my last visit to Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park, I found that most of the “body slides” (i.e. the non raft rides) did have several flights of stairs that you needed to climb in order to access them. But, from what I remember, several of the raft rides, including the new Miss Adventure Falls had separate entrances for Guests with reduced mobility that might allow you to bypass the stairs, if you really can’t use the “standard line”.

This handy map of the Walt Disney World Resort Water Parks should give you an idea of which attractions are likely to be more mobility-friendly. If you see the icon which indicates that Guests “Must be ambulatory”, chances are that attraction is less accessible than other ones that allow for wheelchair/ECV transfers.

I hope my answer helps you plan a splashtacular day at Typhoon Lagoon! Please don’t hesitate to come back and see us if you have any other questions.

    Have a Magical Day,

    Lynne
