I have a bad phobia of nausea and getting physically ill. I have been cruising since I was 9 but I am still scared. Any tips?

    Hi Linda,

I wish that I could tell you to just relax and enjoy the voyage but I know that phobias can sometimes be debilitating.

I would recommend consulting your physician about your phobia as well as prescribing medicine for seasickness. Have you actually been seasick or do you just fear getting sick? Either way, I'm sure your physician could help you overcome your concerns.

It sounds like your fear is more about being sick rather than being at sea. As you know cruising is an extremely safe way to travel and Disney Cruise Line does an exemplary job of insuring passenger safety. For fear of seasickness, there are many remedies that you can have at your disposal in the event that you were to become ill.

Try a cabin mid-ship! Also, head out for fresh air if you feel queasy. I hope it works out for you so that you can sail worry-free!

    Best wishes to you!!
