Hi Christine, Walt Disney World offers so many fantastic tours and programs that offer a unique perspective of the parks. I am glad to hear that you are considering doing one of them.
The
Backstage Magic Tour is absolutely phenomenal! It offers the opportunity to explore all four theme parks with a tour guide offering fun and exciting insight into the history and maybe even some little known facts about each. This tour lasts about 7-8 hours. It does NOT require park admission to experience this particular tour. The tour does include lunch. Please be aware that participants must be at least 16 years old and have a valid ID and photography and videography is strictly prohibited in the backstage areas.
Disney's Keys to the Kingdom Tour is yet another fun and informative tour offered with a unique perspective of the parks and some backstage areas. This tour is slightly shorter at about 5 hours. This tour focuses on Magic Kingdom and its history and inner workings. As with the Backstage Magic Tour, guests must be 16 years old with a valid ID to participate and lunch is provided. However, with this tour, park admission is required but is NOT included in the cost of the tour.
There are other smaller tours that take place at Magic Kingdom, too, such as Walt Disney: Marceline to Magic Kingdom and Disney's Family Magic Tour. Age minimums vary among these tours as do the lengths of the tour and costs. They may or may not include portions in the backstage areas of the park. Each of these other tours do require park admission and it is not included in the cost of these tours.
For more information for any of the tours, feel free to call (407) WDW-TOUR (939-8687). Have fun!
