What do you do with a backpack when you get on a ride?

Welcome to Disney Parks Moms Panel, Bonnie!

Planning a trip to Walt Disney World includes a lot of details, so what to do with your bag while touring is a great question!

Not to worry, though. Except for the largest of backpacks, you will be able to bring that bag along with you right onto every attraction. Many of these attractions include a storage compartment right in the vehicle, including EPCOT's Mission: SPACE and Soarin' Around the World, Disney's Animal Kingdom's Kali River Rapids, and Disney's Hollywood Studios' The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror. For those attractions with only smaller pouches for personal items such as hats, sunglasses, and water bottles, I've always put my bag on the floor of the vehicle, placing my foot through one strap, and resting that strap on my knee (so that I remember that it's there before exiting). This works beautifully on rides from the mild Seven Dwarfs Mine Train to the righteous Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith--even through the corkscrew and that oh-so-smooth loop!

For Guests who would rather tour the parks bag-free, check out this link regarding Locker Rentals. Conveniently located near the entrances of all four theme parks and both water parks, these lockers come in two sizes, with Magic Kingdom Park and EPCOT offer a third size, aptly named for our favorite elephant: Jumbo. Be sure to check back on availability as the date of your arrival gets closer. Use the super-handy My Disney Experience mobile app to find locations once there in the parks.

To ensure that the bag you plan to bring to The Most Magical Place on Earth fits within Park Guidelines, check out this link to General Walt Disney World Property Rules, which includes the dimensions of the largest bag allowed in the parks.

Have so much fun planning your magical vacation, Bonnie! As you think of more questions, be sure to send them our way. We love to help!
