Can u take a backpack and bottles water ito the parks

Hi there, Craig! Welcome to planDisney. Whenever I find myself at the parks, I’m never without my trusty reusable water bottles and backpack/diaper bag carrying all the necessities we may need for the day. I’d love to walk you through what you’re able to bring into the parks with you on your next visit!

While scanning through the list of Prohibited Items under Disneyland Resort Rules, backpacks are certainly allowed as long as they are no larger than 24" long x 15" wide x 18" high (61 cm x 38 cm x 46 cm). Most Guests typically bring standard backpacks or even shoulder bags that fit within these requirements. After all, we wouldn’t want to spend all day lugging them through the parks. However, if you find yourself tired of carrying your backpack or even merchandise purchased during your visit, feel free to use the lockers at both parks to lighten the load!

With all those steps you’re getting in as you park hop throughout the day, you definitely need to stay hydrated, and what better way than to bring a reusable water bottle? Both parks have water filling stations spread throughout various locations for easy refilling. Not to mention, whenever I’m eating at a quick-service restaurant like the Hungry Bear or Smokejumpers Grill, I’ll ask for a cup of water at the counter to refill my bottles so we’re never empty!

Did you also know, Craig, that you can bring in your own food and drinks into the parks? I always find myself packing all sorts of snacks to keep hunger at bay. Even when my son was just starting solids, I was always bringing puree pouches for him to keep his tummy from getting all rumbly! As long as your food and nonalcoholic beverages don’t require reheating, processing, or refrigerating, don’t have a pungent smell, and are not kept in a glass container, you’re more than welcome to bring them with you!

Craig, thank you so much for visiting planDisney! I hope this clarifies what you’re able to bring to the parks with you on your next visit. If you need any more help in planning your upcoming visit, planDisney is here for you!
