We just got back from a wonderful WDW vacation!! our daughter started pin trading on this trip... we are going on a cruise in May and I was wondering if they did pin trading on the cruise? Thanks so much!!

    Hey, Ashley!

That's great that you had a memorable vacation at Walt Disney World! Our family is back from our Christmas cruise on the Disney Magic to the Eastern Caribbean, and I know that you're gearing up to sail next spring, too!

Pin trading is alive and well on Disney Cruise ships. In fact, your daughter may want to save her allowance in order to secure some Disney Cruise Line exclusive pins only available on board the ships and at Castaway Cay. When crew members are displaying their pins, guests are welcome to approach them for a trade, and the same guidelines apply. Those with green/teal lanyards only trade with children, and black lanyards trade with anyone. There are even special pin-trading events on board which are listed in your daily Personal Navigator (newsletter/schedule). You can trade with officers, crew members and other guests.

Oh, and by the way...since we last "talked," my daughter's high school band marched in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, and she said it was an experience of a lifetime. I know that your son is going to love it, too! I'll look for him next year on TV! After tomorrow, my term on the panel will end, but there are two new Disney Cruise Moms who will take my place to answer cruise questions. Feel free to reach out to them with other questions which pop into your head before you sail. It's been a pleasure helping you plan your vacation.

Have a wonderful day and a magical vacation. Bon voyage, my friend!
