We had just come back from a wonderful trip to WDW & already thinking about our next vacation. What is the weather like in April? Are there any specials that go on for that time of year? Any special events? Is it warm enough to swim or use waterparks

    Hi Michelle!

It's definitely warm enough to visit the pools and water parks in April.  The pools and the water parks are heated at Walt Disney World and thus it is possible to swim all year round.  However, it can actually get very hot in April, especially if you're used to cooler spring weather.  That said, most people absolutely love the weather in March and April at Walt Disney World.

The Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival is the big event that takes place in the spring at Walt Disney World.  Epcot is absolutely fabulous looking with all of the extra flowers and plantings, including Disney character topiaries.  There's even special presentations and live music.

With regards to specials, it's hard to say.  Basically, Disney releases discounts from time to time in an effort to increase the occupancy rate at Disney owned and operated hotels.  To get a feel for what discounts have come out in the past that covers the spring, I recommend visiting the independent website MouseSavers.com.  There you can look at a historical database of discounts.  A good way to find the information quickly is to google Mouse Savers Historical Database of Walt Disney World discounts.

Enjoy planning another magical Walt Disney World Resort vacation!
