Hi Misti!!!!
We love visiting the Walt Disney World Resort during the month of October. It is definitely much cooler than the summer months and the crowds are a lot less for the most part.
October is a fairly good month to visit crowd wise. Columbus Day Weekend is very crowded, but other than that weekend the rest of the month is very manageable. Weekends are more crowded than the weekdays. I would recommend going during the week if at all possible.
The temperatures are in the upper 80's to low 90's during the day in October, but not as humid as the summer months. The night time temperatures are very nice and enjoyable.
The Magic Kingdom is fully decked out with pumpkins and other Halloween decorations!! It is definitely a very festive time to visit!! I would highly recommend attending
Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party if you have the extra funds available in your vacation budget! You will not be disappointed!!
Another time of the year that I would recommend going that has manageable crowds and weather would be during the first two weeks of December. The temperatures are very mild and crowds very reasonable before the Christmas crowds begin to arrive. You will also get to experience the Christmas decorations up around the four theme parks!! They are absolutely beautiful!!
Please let me know if you have any additional questions!!
Have a magical day!!
Scott
