Just back from WDW and thinking ahead to next visit. We stayed offsite this time, Next time want to stay on property. What is my best way to get the best deals on room, dining, tickets? Book room first add tickets dining later? can I pay with giftcards?

    Hi Lisa!

Congratulations on your recent vacation to Walt Disney World and the best way to get over those post Disney vacation blues is to start planning another one!.One of the best ways to save money is by visiting during a less busy time of year or what is referred to as Value season.  For instance, staying in a standard room at Disney's Wilderness Lodge during 2013 value season will run $284.00 per weeknight. In comparison, the same room during the week of Christmas will run you $491.00 per a night.By staying during a value season, you could potentially save up to $207 per a night which adds up quickly.

Disney frequently has special offers such as room discounts and free dining that could potentially save you a bundle on your vacation. The discounts seem to be much better during less busy times of the year as opposed to peak seasons.

While Magic Your Packages are certainly convenient, you will typically find your biggest savings by booking a "room only" reservation and buying your tickets separately. While Disney offers some great discounts on rooms, tickets are rarely discounted.  Undercovertourist.com is a great place to check for discounted Walt Disney World tickets, they are trustworthy and reliable.I have purchased tickets through them many times and have always been very pleased with each of my transactions.

You can absolutely use Disney gift cards to pay for your Walt Disney World vacation, with the exception of purchasing tickets through an outside vendor.  Many stores will offer discounts for using their credit/debit card or savings on gas so I just pick up gift cards anytime I'm make a shopping trip. Just make sure to hang onto those gift cards, if for any reason you were to cancel your reservation the money would be applied back to the gift card.

I hope this helps and please let me know if you need any help planning your next Walt Disney World vacation.

    Best Wishes!
