    We are going back to WDW Sept 24- Oct 1. I read about marathon weekends and that it is busy. What is a marathon weekend?

    Hi Lori!

    The Walt Disney World Wine and Dine Half Marathon Weekend, is a weekend where Walt Disney World hosts several running events, one being a half marathon.  They also host a family 5K as well as kid races and other health and fitness events.

    We were there last year for Wine and Dine and did notice an increase in crowd levels, but nothing major.  Very manageable.  We noticed that Epcot was more busy than the other parks during that time, but that was likely due to the beginning of the Food and Wine Festival.
