Just got back from WDW last week & planning for next year! We have stayed at all the value resorts & Pop. Do you really think it's worth the extra $ to stay at a moderate since you only sleep & shower in your room anyway? We're a family of 4. T

Based on the way you phrase your question, Katherine, I would say that upgrading to a moderate might not be worth it for your family.  Here's what I mean: some guests prefer to spend significant time at their "home resort" lounging poolside or dining on-site.  For them, upgrading to a moderate or deluxe resort is probably worth the expense.  Other guests (and I'd guess you fit into this category) are in full adventure mode during their trips, spending the majority of time touring the parks or splashing at the water parks.  For those guests, it might not be worthwhile to book a moderate resort. You might get more bang for your buck if you spend the money it would cost you to upgrade on souvenirs instead, or maybe a splurge tour experience!  Good luck with your decision.

I'm Darcie, and my friends would be the first to tell you that Disney trip planning (especially dining!) is my love language. Of course, the vacations my family enjoys today look much different than they did when our kids were little, but while some of our favorite activities have evolved, Disney destinations still top our travel wish lists.
