We just got back from WDW & are already planing our next visit! We are considering upgrading to a moderate resort, which one/s are closest to the MK? One thing we both agreed upon was that the AS Resorts felt far away.

It sounds like you returned a fan of Walt Disney World! Hooray!!

There are four moderate resorts and they all take approximately the same amount of time to arrive the Magic Kingdom. Once en route, it takes an average time of about 22-30 minutes on a WDW bus to reach the Magic Kingdom.

    Caribbean Beach - 30 minutes

Port Orleans French Quarter - 22 minutes

Port Orleans Riverside - 22 minutes

    Coronado Springs - 22 minutes

When driving our own vehicle, we find getting from Port Orleans resort to Magic Kingdom to be the easiest and quickest of the moderate resorts.

In comparison, it takes about 22 minutes en route from the All-Star resorts as well.

The  moderate resorts are a great value. While you'll still have exterior corridors, you'll have additional amenities such as slides at the main pools, a table service restaurant within walking distance and a larger room.

Happy planning your next Walt Disney World vacation!
