We just got back from our trip and can official say I am obsessed with everything Disney. I want to learn more--just as you all know. Is there a good book you could recommend to start me off? I saw a Disney Encyclopedia as we were leaving, is that good?

So now you get it - our Disney obsession. Welcome to the club!

Our bookcases are overflowing with books on Walt Disney World, Walt Disney and Imagineering.

I truly enjoy the Imagineering Field Guides. They give an insight into the stories and details that the Imagineers included inside the parks. You’ll look at many things differently after reading these books.

    My coffee table books include:
“Since the World Began” by Jeff Kurth and “Remembering Walt” by Amy Boothe Green.

For trip planning, my favorites are the PassPorter guide books. Jennifer Marx does a super job researching for the PassPorter books. The “Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World” by Bob Sehlinger isn’t afraid to critique the pros and cons about the resort hotels and other aspects of WDW.

For trivia, the “Walt Disney World Trivia” books by Lou Mongello are favorites in our family. I’ve met Lou and he is a fanatic about Disney too.

For a look at Walt’s life, read “Walt Disney: The Triumph of The American Imagination” by Neal Gabler. This giant book is a true journey into Walt’s life and gives information that I’ve not read anywhere else. “Building a Company” by Bob Thomas delves in to the special relationship between Roy and Walt Disney and how WDW may not have been created without this talented team of brothers.

This is just a quick tour of my bookshelves. I hope you find some titles to add to your home library. Don’t bother trying to kick the Disney obsession. It seems to stick!
