Hello there Karen,
Welcome to planDisney and thanks so much for your question! I'm sorry to hear about your recent procedure, but glad to hear you'll still be able to make a trip to the Happiest Place on Earth happen!
To answer your question, it does sound like you should be fine bringing a standard walker on your visit. The
Permitted Items FAQ page says that "Folding chairs" are not permitted, but includes the caveat "with the exception of cane-chair and seat-walker mobility aids."
Additionally, the
Park Rules and Regulations page gives the guidance that "Devices should be single rider and not exceed 36" (92 cm) in width and 52" (132 cm) in length."
Since I don't know the specifications of the walker you're using, I can't completely guarantee you'll be okay, but if it is a standard walker then you should be good to go! Just make sure to follow the directions of the Cast Members at the security checkpoint when you arrive who will be able to make the final call based on your walker's exact specifications.
Depending on how long you're visiting, if you decide you need a bit more of a break from all the walking that comes with a trip to the Disneyland Resort - especially toward the end of your visit - keep in mind that there are also
electric conveyance vehicle (ECV) rentals available for $60.00 per day (note that prices are subject to change without notice).
I'm happy to hear you're able to take your trip to the Disneyland Resort, and hope you're able to take your time, soak it all in, and enjoy your visit! Thanks again for your question, Karen.
Have a Magical Day,
Greg
