    can you take a back pack in to the parks with water and food

    Yes!

    We just spent 9 nights at WDW with 6 days in the theme parks and 2 days at water parks. We almost always had bottled water or a mug of soda or coffee with us. We also sometimes had snacks in our bags. We never once were questioned about our food or beverages being brought in to the parks.
