    Back when MagicBands were complimentary, personalizing with a name was free also. Now that we must pay for them is there an additional charge to put a name on them?

    Hi Curtis, 

    Welcome to planDisney and thank you for reaching out to us with your question about MagicBands.  I am glad to see that you are considering visiting Walt Disney World Resort, it is a great time to visit as the 50th Anniversary Celebration is just around the corner! 

    Guests who choose to purchase a MagicBand in advance using My Disney Experience still have the option to customize their bands prior to arrival.  When I purchased my MagicBand a few weeks ago for an upcoming stay the customization was included in the cost.  Also, when you are choosing your MagicBand please keep in mind that there are different bands available at different times, so if you see one you like, grab it while you can, it may disappear before you can say "Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo"! 

    If you have a chance check out the Disney Parks Blog and the Walt Disney World Resort website to see all of the new and exciting experiences offered to guests as we celebrate the Walt Disney World Resort 50th anniversary celebration.  I cant wait to see "Harmonious" the all new Nighttime Spectacular at Epcot, it looks incredible!
