Hi, Michelle! I'm so glad that you had such a great WDW vacation and are planning to return. I always say that the next best thing to experiencing a Disney trip is planning one! I have planned several trips for my family as well as friends and extended family using packages (airfare, lodging, meals, tickets, etc.). However, I've only booked them through a third-party such as AAA or a travel agency -- not through the Walt Disney Travel Company. My experience (as well as those whom I've asked) is that securing airfare independently of other arrangements is usually the less expensive way to go. In addition, it usually offers you the most flexibility -- regardless of booking through Disney or not.

Therefore, start looking for special airfare opportunities through frequent flyer programs, special discounts or incentives or internet offers. In addition, make your travel agent aware of your need to book a special rate and your travel plans so that s/he can be looking out for you over the next several months. Lastly, I would recommend asking travel industry experts their advice on booking separately (perhaps splitting your large group in half) versus booking airfare as a party of eight.  Sometimes, I come out ahead booking our family in groups of two or three as opposed to all together. Maybe that will help you, too!

I'm thrilled that you all can enjoy your Disney memories even more knowing that a future Disney trip is in the works! Have a wonderful day and a magical vacation!
