Royal greetings, Julia,
I'm thrilled your family had an enchanting time at Walt Disney World Resort, and that your little princess experienced
Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique at Magic Kingdom Park. My daughter received a magical makeover at the Disneyland Resort location a few years back, and I can still picture her sweet little face as the Fairy Godmother's Apprentice twirled her around to reveal her dazzling new look. Special memories like these are priceless and remain precious as our children grow from toddlers to teens to young adults, seemingly quicker than a wave of a magic wand.
Your little princess must be devastated that her royal accessories were somehow misplaced. It’s so easy for things to disappear during the chaos of travel, whether you’re flying on a plane or gliding along in a pumpkin carriage. She's in good company though, as even Cinderella famously lost a glass slipper on her way home from the ball. While I'm sure your heart is grieving about these misplaced treasures, I have a few helpful suggestions.
I recommend reaching out to
Lost & Found to see if you may have left your item behind in your Disney Resorts Collection hotel room. You'd be surprised at what can get swept up in a pile of towels as you make a mad dash back to the airport on check-out day. I'd also reach out to whichever service provider you used for your ride back to the airport, whether it was Mears Connect, a rental car company, or even a third-party ride-share service. Finally, I'd contact your airline directly to see if it was accidentally left under your seat, in an overhead bin, or somewhere near the luggage pickup area. I can't guarantee they'll be able to locate the lost item, but it certainly doesn't hurt to search every ballroom and exhaust every option.
I reached out to a Cast Member about purchasing replacement items who advised contacting Merchandise Guest Services at (800) 328-0327, or by email at Merchandise.Guest.Services@DisneyParks.com. Your particular items may not be available for purchase outside the parks, but I'm hopeful they can help your family reclaim a bit of that fairy-tale magic.
If you find yourself empty-handed after all these attempts, it might be the perfect opportunity to recreate the magic at home. An array of
Princess gowns are available for purchase at Disneystore.com along with some
accessory options to complete her look. When my daughter visited Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique we actually let her choose her look online and brought it with us to ensure her favorite outfit and size were available that day. I'm sure your daughter would be just as excited to choose a new ensemble, even if you can't find the exact one she purchased in Magic Kingdom Park.
As far as makeup and accessories, you could always pick up a few similarly pink and sparkly items in your home kingdom and package them in a new bag to surprise her. Who's to say that the Fairy Godmother doesn't make house visits while little ones are at school or dreaming of their happily ever after?
Julia, remember that “even miracles take a little time,” but I’m wishing with all my heart that your efforts lead to a happy ending. Whether you recover the misplaced treasures or create new magical memories at home, I know your daughter will sparkle just as brightly.
Please come back and see us again with more questions. My time as an active panelist will end at the stroke of midnight on December 31, but new panelists are eager to spread magic.
Magic and memories,
Amy
