Hiya, Erica! Welcome back to planDisney!
Thanks for sharing your question with us. One of the things I love about Walt Disney World is all of the traditions guests create with their friends and family. Whether it’s recreating a photo, eating at a particular restaurant, enjoying specific attractions, or staying at the same resort hotel, there are so many ways to remember past visits and make new memories at Walt Disney World.
I did some research on the Goofy statue you describe, and I’m sorry to report that it’s not currently on display anywhere at Walt Disney World. Various internet sources say it was removed from the Magic Kingdom in 2015 or 2016, and other than one person who mentioned on social media that they saw it backstage on the
Keys to the Kingdom Tour many years ago (so take that with a grain of salt…), it sounds like it hasn’t been seen since.
I wish I had better news for you, but there are some other Goofy statues you can look for on your next visit. The golden
Disney Fab 50 Character Collection statues can be found at all four theme parks, including Goofy at the Magic Kingdom in the central Hub area in front of Cinderella’s Castle. There’s also a Goofy statue, complete with surfboard and funky swim attire, at
Pop Century Resort. You’ll find him between the 60s and 70s buildings, right next to a sweet red sports car.
I hope you’re able to create some new traditions and memories on your next visit, Erica. Pop right back if you have any more vacation planning questions. Your planDisney pals are here to help!
Magical travels!
Matt
