Hiya, Phillip! Welcome to planDisney!
While we may be just entering the warm summer months, the winter holiday season will be here before you know it, and I love that you’re already hard at work planning your next Walt Disney World vacation. There’s so much to see and do at the Vacation Kingdom of the World, including character experiences, that it’s never too early to start creating your itinerary.
I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but Princess Merida no longer has a dedicated meet-and-greet at the Magic Kingdom. She has gone off in search of adventure, and
Mirabel has since moved into the Fairytale Garden next to Cinderella’s Castle. I have heard from some reliable sources (other planDisney panelists) that Merida often makes appearances at
Cinderella’s Royal Table, the popular table-service restaurant inside the castle. Character appearances are subject to change, but it might be the best way to see your favorite princess at the moment.
As you continue to plan your vacation, make sure you have the
My Disney Experience app downloaded to your mobile device. Not only can you use it to make dining reservations and get step-by-step directions, but you can also select the “Characters” filter on the map to see all the nearby character meet-and-greets and their scheduled appearance times (which are also subject to change).
I hope you have a fantastic visit to Walt Disney World, Phillip. Pop right back if you have more vacation planning questions. Your planDisney pals are always happy to help!
Magical travels!
Matt
