We just got back a couple of weeks ago from our Disney World vacation and already are planning for next year! We'll be staying at the Yacht club and I'm wondering if it's faster to walk to Epcot and take the monorail to MK or catch the bus? Thanks!!!!

Hi, Nicole!   The Yacht Club is such a great place for a Disney Vacation.   What a treat to stay right on the Boardwalk!

It will be faster for you to take the bus to the Magic Kingdom from the Yacht Club compared with taking the monorail from Epcot.    If you were to take the monorail, you would have to walk to Epcot and enter through the International Gateway.   You would then walk to the front of the park, exit the park and board the Monorail to the Transportation and Ticket Center.  At the TTC, you would need to transfer monorails, and 3 stops later you would finally be at the Magic Kingdom.   (This would also require you have a park hopper ticket since technically you would be visiting 2 different parks.)

So the simple answer:  Take the bus!

Now if you are already visiting Epcot and want to hop mid-day to Magic Kingdom, THEN you can try the monorail!   Have fun planning your next magical vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Cathy, Ohio

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the snow and cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is hiking at a National Park, sailing on a Disney Cruise Ship, or going to Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. My husband proposed to me in front of Cinderella Castle and we have not stopped visiting ever since! It's a blast helping guests here at planDisney!
