Hi we just got back and are already looking to book or next trip for next year. we usually stay at all stars resorts now we would to stay at port orleans riverside. i noticed they have a few different sections can you recommend one with a private balcony?

    Hi, Mayra!

Glad to hear you are planning a return trip to Walt Disney World!

Going from All-Star to Port Orleans Riverside, you are jumping up a category from Value to Moderate.  Changes you will notice at a Moderate resort compared to a Value include:  nicer pool areas with pool slide, Riverside has a table service restaurant, lovely landscaped grounds, the rooms are a bit bigger, each room has a refrigerator, and the bathroom has 2 sinks.

What is the SAME will be that all rooms have exterior room doors, with outdoor corridors.  Therefore, no rooms in Moderate Resorts have private balconies.  If you are looking for a balcony to sit on and relax, you would need to jump to a Deluxe Resort, such as Contemporary or Wilderness Lodge (to name a few) which have interior hallways so balconies are available.

At Riverside, I personally like the Alligator Bayou section.  I like the woodsy-feel and it is so peaceful! There is also an extra pull-down bed allowing for a 5th guest which is a nice touch.  The rooms here have recently been remodeled and now have queen beds which is an added bonus!

My family loves Port Orleans Riverside.  I hope you give it a try for your next magical vacation!
