Hiya, Anita!
Welcome to planDisney! I am so very glad that you stopped by with your planning question. My family and I have used the
Rider Switch option many times during our visits to The Most Magical Place on Earth. This is such a great option for families and travel parties that may want to experience different things on their adventure. And it can be especially helpful when traveling with younger Guests who may not be quite ready for the thrilling drops of Space Mountain.
Rider Switch allows one adult to wait with the members of the party that will not be riding an attraction, while the other members of the travel party enjoy the ride. Then you switch. No extra wait time is required! Here's a quick breakdown of how to use the service. First, be sure the attraction you wish to use the switch for
offers the service. Tell a friendly Cast Member at the attraction entrance that you would like to utilize the Rider Switch. They will help guide you through the attraction's switch process and direct you to the designated waiting area. Once the first group of your party finished the attraction, it's your turn to ride!
Anita, if you are traveling with a baby or young children, I also want to recommend the
Baby Care Centers at Walt Disney World Resort. These wonderful locations offer cool air and a calm quiet environment for park breaks. Each center has changing rooms, feeding areas, and private nursing spots with rocking chairs. You will also find all of the necessities you may have forgotten while packing your park bag for the day. Diapers, formula, and even sunscreen are available for purchase in each location. This was a real-life saver on our EPCOT day when we realized that we left our diapers and a change of clothes back at our resort hotel!
I hope that your upcoming trip is memorable and magical!
We'll see ya real soon!
Tammy
