Hi Julie,
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, and thank you for your question. How wonderfully exciting that baby’s first visit to Walt Disney World is right around the corner! Your family will be in the middle of the magic in almost no time at all, and I am so excited for you.
You have a few options for picking up a “First Visit” Celebration Button for your little one. If you’re staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel, the Cast Members at the Front Desk should have some. If not, you can pick one up at any Guest Relations location, or from the balloon sellers you see along Main Street, U.S.A. in Magic Kingdom Park. Just ask any Cast Member, and they will be thrilled to point you in the right location. My Mom Tip is to think about where to fasten the button – my son was a toddler on his first visit, and he ripped the button right off his shirt one day! I’ve seen them fastened to strollers and diaper bags, so you may want to fasten it to her for some pictures but then move it to a more secure location depending on her personality.
Julie, did you know that there are
Baby Care Centers in each of the Walt Disney World theme parks? If you need to feed your baby in a quiet (air conditioned!) location, or if you need to change diapers or pick up baby supplies, be sure to stop in.
My dear friend and fellow Moms Panelist Ashley P. recently took her beautiful baby girl to Walt Disney World, and they took some gorgeous photos of her right in front of Cinderella Castle thanks to an early dining reservation. I highly recommend stopping at
PhotoPass photographers throughout the parks to capture all the joy of her first visit. I wish I were coming with you to see her face!
Wishing you a magical vacation,
Robyn
