We have a baby trend expedition double stroller. I believe it is 31.5 inches wide. I know restrictions are at 31 inches wide. How strict are the rules? Do they measure the strollers often or have a list of restricted ones?

It's great to see you here today at the Disney Parks Moms Panel, LeeAnn! With your trip to Walt Disney World Resort coming up in just a few days it's a great time to think about some of those final details, like how your little ones are going to rest their legs when they're on vacation. There is a lot of ground to cover at The Most Magical Place On Earth, I know I average about 10 miles a day when I'm there, so let's chat about strollers and what your options will be next week.

LeeAnn, I want to encourage you to measure your stroller to double-check the exact size. One of the easiest ways to do this is to use some tape to make a rectangle on your floor that is 31 inches wide and 52 inches long, which is the maximum size allowed. Wheel your stroller into this box to see if its longest and widest parts fit inside so you can know for sure if it will be allowed in the Theme Parks. The safety rules were changed in the spring of 2019 to clarify some of the policies around strollers to make sure that all guests are safe when walking around inside the Theme Parks and while using resort transportation. Those rules are being enforced and it's possible that the size of your stroller will be checked when you're going through security. It would not be a very magical start to your day to have to delay your plans to make alternative stroller arrangements so for that reason I recommend renting one directly through Disney or through the Disney Featured Provider. Double strollers are available for you to rent at all four Theme Parks as well as Disney Springs, and that way you'll know for sure that you have one that will be allowed inside and will fit everywhere you need it to.

    Have a magical day, LeeAnn!
