Do babies under 1 year old need a ticket?

Welcome to planDisney Sileny!  How wonderful that you'll be bringing your little bundle of joy to the "Happiest Place on Earth" soon!  My daughter's first visit was when she was 4 months old, and while she may not remember that trip, it is such a core memory for me.  I have so many photos and videos of that first magical visit!

Guests under the age of 3 are considered Guests of Mickey, and do not require a theme park ticket or theme park reservation when accompanied by an adult.  Your little one can enjoy the sights and sounds of the parks from the comfort of your arms or a cozy stroller ride!

There are so many attractions throughout both Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park that do not have a height requirement, and the entire family can enjoy together.  Fantasyland has so many of our favorite attractions such as Peter Pan's Flight and Alice in Wonderland.  If there are more thrilling attractions that the adults or older kids want to experience, that is no problem!  I highly recommend using rider switch, where you can take turns experiencing that attraction.  The first party will wait in line to experience the attraction, while the second party will wait outside with your little one. When the first party is done, the two parties can switch, and the second party (maximum of 2 Guests) can enjoy the attraction without having to wait in the standard queue.  Simply ask a Cast Member about rider switch at the attraction entrance if that is of interest to you and your family.

My final tip is to utilize the Baby Care Centers located in each theme park, they were such a wonderful escape during visits when my kids were young.  There are quiet areas if you need to feed your baby, a clean place to change a diaper, and they also sell necessities you may run out of during your trip such as diapers and wipes.  The Cast Members are wonderful, and were so helpful when we took a break during the day to escape the crowds.

I hope this information is helpful for your upcoming trip, Sileny!  We're happy to help with any other questions as you plan your trip, don't hesitate to come back to planDisney.

    Have a magical day,
    Melissa
