Hi John,
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for asking us a question!
My son’s first visit to Walt Disney World Resort took place when he was 5 1/2 months old. One of my biggest tips for Guests with babies is to use a baby carrier during their visit. I found it much easier to explore the Theme Parks with my little guy when he was in his carrier, rather than wrangling a big, bulky stroller.
You’ll likely be pleasantly surprised by how many different attractions your niece will be able to experience with her family. If an attraction says that it can be experienced by Guests of “
any height”, little ones should be able to experience it on someone’s lap. That being said, while babies may be able to stay in their carrier for some attractions, for safety reasons they’ll likely need to be taken out of their cozy little cocoon and put onto someone’s lap for the duration of the ride. Please ask the attraction’s Cast Member for assistance if you have any questions.
Please don’t hesitate to come back and see us if you have any other questions!
Have a Magical Day,
Lynne
