Hi there, David!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I am so very excited to hEAR you have a Disney Cruise Line vacation planned AND that you are taking a tiny Mouseketeer with you! My husband and I started cruising with Captain Mickey when our boys were itty bitty and haven’t stopped! You are going to have the most magical time and even if your little one doesn’t remember it, you will have some fantastic memories that will last a lifetime!
A Disney Cruise Line vacation is perfect for families with children of all ages because everything really is catered towards the entire family! You can most definitely take your baby into the theaters onboard – both to catch a first-run movie or the nightly
live entertainment! As I am sure you would, you may just want to select a seat that is towards the aisle in the event you need to slip out with the little one, but that is really just for convenience! Also, they will often offer movies early in the morning (8:30AMish) that are truly “family friendly” where they don’t turn the lights down all the way, easing any apprehension little ones often have in a dark movie theater!
The
onboard nursery is also an excellent option and I highly recommend taking advantage of it! Your little one will be well taken care of, giving you an opportunity to explore the ship without a little one in tow! We often used the nursery for afternoon naps and evenings because there is a separate area for those sleeping with both cribs and cots for littles to snooze in or on! If you do plan on using the nursery, you can reserve your spot ahead of your voyage or you can check availability once onboard.
If you haven’t yet, make sure you put in the request for a pack-and-play and diaper pail in your stateroom and a highchair for dinner time so it will be ready and waiting for you. You can add this under “Special Requests” when you log into
your account.
Wishing you a magical adventure with many memories made!
Happy Sailing!
Stephanie
