I am aware I can dress in costume for mickey not so scary halloween but if I am planning on attending the magic kingdom from the morning. Can I dress up for the day or can I only be allowed in costume after 4pm? Thanks

Bibbidi Bobbidi BOO to you, Ben!

Ghoulish greetings to you, and thank you for stopping by with your question!

I am always excited to talk about my very favorite event of the year at Magic Kingdom Park - Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. The SPOOKTACULAR party, held on select nights during the fall, is SO much fun, and a must-BOO for me!

Costumes are not only welcomed, but they are encouraged as Grim Grinning Ghosts come out to socialize. While you are more than welcome to wear your costume in the park prior to the party, there are some guidelines you'll need to be aware of:

For Guests ages 13 and under:

Costumes and some costume masks may be worn; masks must always provide unobstructed peripheral vision with openings that allow the eyes to be fully seen.

For Guests 14 Years of Age or Older:

All Guests may dress as their favorite character, but may not pose for pictures or sign autographs for other Guests.

Costumes must be family-friendly and may not be obstructive, offensive, objectionable, or violent.

Costumes may not contain any props or accessories that resemble or could easily be mistaken for an actual weapon.

Costumes may not contain sharp objects, pointed objects, or materials that may accidentally strike another Guest.

Layered costumes or props surrounding the entire body are strongly discouraged and may be subject to additional security screening.

Costumes may not reach or drag on the ground. (for example, full-length Princess dresses)

Capes may be worn if the length does not go below the waist.

Themed T-shirts, blouses, sweatshirts and hats are acceptable.

Acceptable accessories include: transparent wings, plastic light sabers, toy swords, and tutus. Costume headwear may be worn as long as it does not cover the face. Costume masks of any kind may not be worn.

If you'd like the option of bringing your costume with you to the park to change into later in the day, there's always the option for Locker Rental at the front entrance of Magic Kingdom Park.

I hope this is helpful as you plan your visit to Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. It's sure to be a swinging wake full of happy haunts!

    Your Ghost Host,
    Diane W.
