Hello, Kristin!
Thank you for being conscientious about the
Disneyland Resort rules. That is a thoughtful approach to help keep The Happiest Place on Earth safe and fun for everyone.
The size limits for suitcases, bags, and coolers carried into the theme parks are 24" long × 15" wide × 18" high (61 cm × 38 cm x 46 cm). Coolers that are larger than those dimensions (up to 19" wide x 24" high x 31" deep) may be stored in lockers for rent outside the Disneyland Park entrance.
Locker rentals are available on a first-come basis. Note that suitcases, backpacks, or similar
bags with wheels are not permitted in the Disneyland Resort theme parks. So if it is possible to remove the wheels from your cooler, I would recommend doing so if you wish to carry it into the parks with you. Please also note that loose ice may not be used in coolers in the Disneyland Resort. Reusable freezer packs are the recommended alternative for keeping your food and drinks refreshingly chilly.
Tony’s Tip: During visits to the Disneyland Resort, my family and I love to gather some of our favorite snacks to take home with us. With a cooler loaded in the family minivan, we can carry home perishable or heat-sensitive treats such as English Toffee from places like the
Candy Palace and caramel apples from locations such as
Marceline’s Confectionery in
Downtown Disney District. With reusable freezer packs or ice from our hotel ice dispenser, our treats stay fresh and cool all the way up Interstate 15 back home to the Beehive State!
I hope you have a magical time at the Disneyland Resort, Kristin!
