To avoid large crowds, would visiting WDW during the first week or two of December be a slower time ?

    Hello Henrietta!

I would absolutely recommend visiting Walt Disney World during the first two weeks of December. Although not as slow as previous years, the crowds are still very manageable. They are nowhere near the crowds during the week of Christmas. But you still get to enjoy the beautiful holiday decorations in the theme parks and in the Walt Disney Resort Hotels! The Christmas tree in the lobby of Disney's Wilderness Lodge is breathtaking. I also love Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party.

The weather is mild and comfortable. It is still warm during the day, but not too hot, so you can enjoy park touring. I recommend bringing a sweater and/or sweatshirt for the mornings and evenings just in case.

If we can be of any more assistance to help you plan your Disney vacation, please come back and see us real soon at the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Have a Disney day!
