What is the avg. travel time from Magical Express to All Star Music and also the time from the hotel to Hollywood studios? I arrive at MCO at 8am. I plan to check in early and head straight to HS, but I don’t know when to schedule my first fast pass.

    Dear Tara,

Thank you so much for stopping by to visit us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your great question about planning ahead for your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort vacation!

Planning your first day at the Walt Disney World Resort can sometimes be challenging, because you want to get to the fun as quickly as possible!

If you are scheduled to land at 8am, it will take you a bit of time to disembark and make your way to Disney's Magical Express. You may have to wait for a few minutes to board your Magical Express bus, and then it will take approximately 30-45 minutes to arrive at Disney's All-Star Music Resort. I estimate that it will take you between 90 and 120 minutes total to get from your seat on the plane to your hotel. Then you may need to wait for a bus to Disney's Hollywood Studios for a few minutes, and then there will be the ride to the park itself. I recommend, with all of that, not making any FastPass+ selections before around 10:30am or 11am to be on the safe side and not end up missing something. Of course, any one of these steps could take more or less time than planned, so all of this is really just me theorizing.

Hope that helps with your magical planning!
