What is the average time to get across each park? I am trying to figure out how much to spread my fast pass and dinner reservations-thanks!

    Hi Mary,

Are you counting down the days until all of the magic and fun begins? I see that your visit to "The Most Magical Place on Earth" is just a few short days away! Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah!

I'm glad to hear that you're thinking about the logistics of your trip so that you don't end up with FastPass+ selections or dining reservations that you won't be able to use. While in-park travel times may definitely vary based on crowd levels, weather, and the speed at which your party prefers to move, I have an excellent tool that you may use to gauge approximate travel times between any two locations within the Walt Disney World Resort. Download and open the My Disney Experience mobile app and click on the search icon at the bottom of the home page. Then, type in any attraction, experience, or restaurant you'd like to find. Once you've located the correct spot, click on it, then choose "Get Directions" and select the spot you'll be heading from. Not only will it show you how long it should take to travel between the two, but you can also see turn-by-turn directions. How handy is that?! Now, I personally don't like to be late places, and I definitely don't want to worry that I'm going to miss a must-do attraction or delicious dining experience, so I'd encourage you to build in a little bit of extra wiggle room just to be safe. Plus, you never know when you're going to stumble upon something unexpected and magical that you'd like to be able to enjoy along the way.

One other tip...as I'm planning my days, I like to look at a map and think through how we'll be moving throughout the parks. There is already a ton of walking during a Disney vacation, so we try to avoid going back and forth across the parks multiple times in a day. We try to visit one area and experience everything there that we'd like to do before moving on to the next. Of course, there's always some criss-crossing, but we try to keep it to a minimum.

I'm sending some pixie dust that you find the perfect plans for your trip, Mary! Please let us know if we can help with anything else and have a truly magical vacation!
