Hey Howdy Hey Emmanuel and welcome back to planDisney!
Thank you so much for stopping by with your questions! Looks like we have a bit to get to so let's jump right in!
The average temperatures in January in Orlando can vary a bit. With a quick internet search, I was able to find the average being 71 degrees Fareheight during the day and 49 at night, or 22 degrees Celsius by day and 10 degrees by night. As we are going through the weather pattern of La Nina, this may change things a bit so make sure to keep an eye on the weather in Orlando as you get closer to your travel dates for the latest! The Florida sun during the day can make things warm up quickly and nicely, but make sure you also have your cooler weather jackets with you at night as you might get a bit of a cool breeze as you navigate the parks at night. Sunsets are usually around 5:30 PM in January which may kick off things such as the nighttime firework shows a bit earlier than during the long summer days.
As you get closer to your travel dates, make sure to keep an eye on the
Park Hours and schedules to get the latest updates on the park hours and times for things such as parades and nighttime shows. You should be able to see nighttime shows in
Magic Kingdom with Disney's Enchantment,
EPCOT with Harmonious and
Disney's Hollywood Studios with Wonderful World of Animation. You might also be able to catch the
Tree of Life Awakening in Disney's Animal Kingdom as well which usually plays only in the winter months as it gets darker earlier.
One of the big things that I would recommend as you get closer to your travel dates is becoming familiar with your
My Disney Experience app. Here you can browse so many things such as available attractions in each park as well as viewing ride times and the general park schedule. As you peruse through this, you should also note that you will see the available attractions and the unavailable ones will be noted such as the
Walt Disney World Railroad in Magic Kingdom. There are also many blogs you can look into by searching for key phrases such as "Disney attractions closed for refurbishment" that can give you more specific and concise details and timelines. I would also make sure to follow along at
Disney Parks Blog for any big updates on the latest news from Disney parks that may impact your trip.
Best of luck as you continue to plan for your Magical vacation early in 2023. Please feel free to stop back and let us know if you have any further questions, we would be happy to help!
Have a Magical Day,
Nick
