On average how many rides should we expect to ride at Magic Kingdom in one day?

    Hi Nancy,

I really wish I had a simple answer for your, but your question is actually incredibly complex. I might give you totally different answers depending on a number of factors. Things like your park arrival time, the date of your visit, the ages of your party members, the weather, and a dozen other things can have a huge impact on the number of attractions you can accomplish on any given day.

For example, if you're a senior citizen arriving at the park in the afternoon on a sweltering July 4th, you might only be able to get on 3 or 4 rides before needing to stop. On the other hand, if you're a healthy teenager arriving at park opening on a weekday in mid-September and have preplanned your FastPass+ attractions, you could likely experience 25 attractions with little difficulty.

I'd say on average, you can probably do a dozen attractions at the Magic Kingdom before feeling like you really need to stop. Depending on the time of year, you could take a break and probably do a bit more.

You should also consider what you're counting as "rides". For example, attractions like character greetings, parades, shows, and fireworks are a big part of any Disney trip. My family considers these to be as important (or more important) than many rides. When you're trying to figure out how much you can do at WDW, this should be a contributing factor.
