Hi Stephen!
A late fall visit to
Walt Disney World can be practically perfect! The weather is lovely, the
Epcot International Food and Wine Festival is happening, and some parks and resorts are already attired in their finest, festive holiday decorations.
The week you are considering is an excellent choice. You will beat the Thanksgiving and Christmas school vacations when many families visit. My family enjoyed a mid November trip once and woke up one morning to find
Disney's Wilderness Lodge completely transformed into a Christmas wonderland overnight.
While Disney does not release the number of guests who attend its theme parks, there are third party sites who seriously study the statistics of park visitors. Touring Plans has a Crowd Calendar that I often rely on.
Disney's Very Merriest After Hours will be held multiple nights during this week. My family has found these after hours events to be a great way to avoid long queues. Attendance is limited, so the lines for the over 20 attractions open tend to be short. There is a Mickey Christmas parade, Minnie holiday fireworks, music groups (the Reindeer Wranglers!), and endless snacks. Yes, you read that correctly. As much popcorn, ice cream, and Diet Coke as you can handle is part of the fun.
Wishing you a wonderful adventure to visit the mouse!
