On average, how long does it take to get from Caribbean resort to the various parks, Our Frommers book suggest renting a car to get to the parks. Friend of ours says they stayed at pop century and takes 1/2 hour to get to various parks?

Hi Andrea!  You will read many different suggestions concerning the transportation within Walt Disney World. It is unique in that you can stay at any resort on property and never have to set foot in a car or spend the money for rentals and taxis.  With that said many guests find the wait times for the buses to be too tedious for them especially in the warmer months so they do want to spend that money on their comfort.

I will list the approximate times to reach the parks from the Caribbean Resort but remember to add wait times as the buses will run about every 15-20 minutes. If you are unfortunate like me you will always get out there to find the bus you want pulling away from the curb! I will also tell you that those 15 minutes waiting will feel like 30 when you are impatient or hot or tired! These times also reflect when the bus leaves the last stop within the Caribbean Resort loop and is heading to the park.

    Magic Kingdom: 15 minutes
    Animal Kingdom:  23 minutes
    EPCOT:  12 minutes
    Hollywood Studios:  12 minutes
