Welcome back to planDisney, Beverly!
Like me, I see you are a frequent visitor to
The Most Magical Place On Earth. Maybe you remember the days of the free vacation planning DVDs from the Walt Disney World Resort or the days of Disney’s Magical Express whisking you away from the airport to your
Disney Resorts Collection hotel. Unfortunately, both are in our review mirror, but rest assured, there is still plenty of magic in your future!
The Walt Disney World website suggests heading to the Orlando International Airport website for information about transportation options. You will find information on buses, sedans, limousines, and shuttle vans there. For example, Mears Connect typically charges approximately $30-$35 per adult and $25-$30 per child for a round-trip ride to/from the airport and a Disney Resort Collection hotel (pricing is subject to change).
These days, I use a car service like Uber, Lyft, or one of the many private companies listed under the Vehicles for Hire section of the Orlando International Airport Parking-Transportation site mentioned above more often than not.
Once you are on the property, I highly recommend using the
Minnie Van service, connected by Lyft. Minnie Van vehicles are Disney-themed, driven by Cast Members, can accommodate up to six guests, and can be requested through the Lyft app by tapping “Select Minnie Van.” Be careful; once you and your family experience a Minnie Van, you may never want to travel any other way!
Don’t forget, since you will be a Guest in one of Disney’s hotels, you can take advantage of the
complimentary Walt Disney World Resort Transportation, including bus, water, monorail, and Disney Skyliner transportation!
I hope this helps you with your Disney vacation planning, Beverly! If you have any additional questions or would like more recommendations and suggestions,
let me know!
See you real soon,
Brent
