Greetings, Caroline, and welcome to planDisney! September is a great month to visit the Disneyland Resort. By then, happy haunts will materialize as part of
Halloween Time. There will be festive decorations, seasonal versions of popular attractions, special entertainment, and more.
Caroline, if you plan to visit with a standard theme park ticket, reservations are currently open for the entire month of September. You can view the
Theme Park Reservation Availability page to ensure the dates you're interested in are open. When
purchasing theme park tickets on the Disneyland website, you'll make your reservations as part of the process.
Reservations for Magic Key passes are a little different in that they become available around 90 days out. September dates should open up by early July.
In any case, it's a good idea to get your theme park tickets and reservations early to ensure you secure the dates you want. Keep in mind that you can change the date or park of a reservation via
the website or
Disneyland mobile app if plans change. Just try to do it in advance, as reservations are subject to availability.
Early entry is a great benefit to Guests staying at Disneyland Resort hotels, providing an opportunity to enter a designated park 30 minutes before it opens. Currently, early entry is offered at Disneyland on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, and at California Adventure on the opposite days. This is subject to change, so
check the website as your trip approaches to confirm.
Caroline, something else for you to keep in mind is that
Oogie Boogie Bash is scheduled for September 23, 2025. On that date, California Adventure will close early for this after-hours event. It's a lot of fun, with treat trails, rare Character appearances, special entertainment, and much more. Consider getting tickets if you want to get in the Halloween spirit!
I hope this has sprinkled a little pixie dust on your plans, Caroline! If you have any other questions in advance of your trip, please reach out. We're always happy to help here at planDisney!
Your pal,
Kriss
