    How do I get the automated phone call that has many of the Disney characters welcoming us to Disneyland? I did this once before and I was able to schedule a specific time for them to call and it was awesome!

    I love that you are looking for ways to get excited about an upcoming trip to the Disneyland Resort! It's so much fun to share the joy with the whole family. Unfortunately, the scheduled telephone calls from Disney characters is a service that is no longer offered. But fear not! I have a few ideas to help build anticipation and excitement for your visit!

    • Start a countdown calendar to count the days until you leave for the Disneyland Resort. There are lots of cute ideas for countdown calendars on the internet and on Pinterest and Etsy, in particular.
    • Watch Disneyland Resort planning videos to get an idea of all the fun things you want to explore at the parks.
    • If you have visited in the past, look at pictures from past trips and decide what memories you want to relive on this visit.
    • Download the Disneyland app and familiarize yourself with all the amazing features.
    • Delve into the entertainment schedule to help plan your days at the parks, paying close attention to offerings that may be new since your last visit.

    If you were really hoping for a phone call for your kids, you could download the Disney Junior Magic Phone with Sofia the First and Mickey Mouse app. Kids can receive calls and have FaceTime conversations with their favorite characters and  play games on the app. Also, if you are staying at a Disneyland Resort Hotel, you can still schedule a wake up call in the morning from one of your favorite Disney pals.
