Hi Sophia! Welcome to planDisney.
Meeting characters is one of my family's very favorite things to do in the Disney theme parks. Some of our best memories are interactions with characters, from the time Ariel asked my preschooler son for his name and he replied, "Prince Eric" (swoon!), to the time Pluto waved and made a heart with his hands toward my daughter from a parade float - those moments give us all the warm fuzzies. I cannot wait for character hugs, high-fives, and conversations to be back in the theme parks again.
As part of the phased reopening of Disneyland Resort, some experiences, attractions, dining, and other offerings are temporarily paused. For the safety of Guests and characters,
opportunities to meet and chat with characters are unavailable, but there are many great ways to interact with the characters in Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park.
Check out this Disney Parks Blog story for some great examples of ways you can spot your favorites Avengers heroes in creative ways, both at the Avengers Campus but also in Hollywood Land. I squealed when I saw Chip 'n Dale's costumes!
At this time, it's just not considered safe enough for Guests and characters to get close enough for autographs. As the phased reopening progresses, the best place to look for updates is the Disney Parks Blog or the
Returning to a Land of Magic webpage. I know Mickey, Aurora, and their friends can't wait to sign their autographs again!
In the meantime, I hope you enjoy your visit to Disneyland Resort in just a few short days! Hurray! Maybe you could have a scavenger hunt for characters in new settings and see how many socially distanced selfies you can take? Let Cast Members know about your plans and see if they can share any tips and join the fun too!
Thank you for stopping by! I'm wishing you lots of character fun on your upcoming visit to the Disneyland Resort.
Have a great Disney day,
Robyn
