Autograph books is it better for the characters to get a spiral type that you can flip open or will the regular binder book?

Welcome to the Moms Panel Cindi!  We're so glad you're hEAR!

My six year old is very much into getting as many character autographs as he can right now.  We've always used one of the blue official Disney Parks Autograph books.  None of the characters we've encountered have ever had a problem with signing them.  I think they are very use to them since they are so commonly used.  If you've found a spiral book that you'd rather use, you are more than welcome to do that.

I think the bigger issue is the type of pen that you give the characters to sign the books.  Face characters like Cinderella are usually fine with thinner pens.  However, wider pens seem to work better for "fur" characters like Mickey because they are easier for them to hold.  Disney sells a wider blue pen at most all of the locations where you can purchase an autograph book.  They have a cute little pair of Mickey ears on top.

Wishing you minnie magical memories :-) Allison
