Hi Janet,
Welcome to planDisney, and greetings from a mama of an Autistic Mouseketeer. First, I want to put your mind at ease a bit. I know that new experiences can be tricky for our kiddos, but with some advanced planning and preparation coupled with all of the fantastic
services Disney offers for Guests traveling with disabilities, I'm happy to share that my family has found The Most Magical Place on Earth to be incredible for
everyone. Here's a
Guide for Guests with Cognitive Disabilities that should be incredibly helpful, and I'd also encourage you to look into the
Disability Access Service. Of course, I'd also be happy to share more about our family's experience, so feel free to send us any other questions you might have!
Secondly, please rest assured that your plans can be flexible. If you need to change the dates of your tickets, you'll be able to do so by
locating them within your My Disney Experience account or using the handy dandy
My Disney Experience app. Simply click "Change Ticket," and you'll be able to switch dates or upgrade your tickets and pay for any additional costs (if necessary) right then and there. Do note that you'll also need to cancel any
Disney Park Pass reservations that you're not planning to use and make new ones, so I'd recommend checking the
availability calendar before you make any changes to make sure there are still openings on your new preferred date. Also, if at all possible, I'd encourage you to finalize any plans the day prior to your planned visit. Ticket changes can no longer be made online on the day of your visit, so you'll then need to
call a friendly Cast Member or stop by a ticket booth or Guest Relations location for assistance.
Thanks so much for bringing your question to us here at planDisney, Janet. I'm sending pixie dust that your plans all work out
perfectly and you and your family have a truly magical vacation together!
Missy
