Hi I have autism and am going to DW in January. I was wondering what accommodations I could get with the new card and what I need to bring to prove I need it? Attendant and me are at art of animation mermaid room and wondering if any accommodations here?

    Welcome, Lauren!

I know you must be counting down the days until your January vacation! The Disability Assistance Service (DAS) is designed for Guests whose disability prevents them from waiting in a regular queue. Guests are welcome to wait in a quiet area, experience another attraction or do a little shopping. When it is time to return, Guests will have a limited wait time before experiencing the attraction.

To request this service, visit any theme park Guest Relations Lobby, and let the Cast Member know your needs so that recommendations can be made based on your specific situation. You are not required to bring a doctor's note or other medical documentation. DAS is electronically linked to your theme park media (MagicBands or admission tickets) and is valid for the length of your visit and at all four theme parks.

Keep in mind that you can use DAS in tandem with the complimentary FastPass+ Service provided with your admission ticket. Guests can schedule three FastPass+ experiences per day via your My Disney Experience account beginning 30-60 days prior to the vacation.

Disney's Art of Animation Resort is a delightful place to stay. If you have specific needs or preferences for your resort room, it is best to contact a Reservation Specialist to discuss those. The Cast Members will be able to offer advice based on your needs as well as availability for that resort.

I hope this helps to answer your questions. Please let me know if I can be of further assistance.
