Hi Lacey! Welcome to planDisney!
One of my favorite parts about being a planDisney panelist is being able to help out Guests from all across the world. There is so much going on at the
Walt Disney World Resort that any bit of information I can provide to help make your trip as magical as possible is a great joy to me! With your arrival date only about a month away, let's see what we can do to help your planning go as smoothly as possible.
Advanced Dining Reservations can typically be made 60 days in advance. If you happen to be staying at a Disney Resorts Hotel, you can make dining reservations 60 days in advance for your entire length of stay, up to 10 days. Any day after that reservations will have to be made each day out. Based on your question, it sounds like you may have two separate stays during your time in Florida, the first starting on August 12th and the second sometime in September. If this is the case, your August dates are all within the 60-day window and you should be able to make reservations for any date.
The first thing I would check is to make sure your Disney Resorts Hotel reservation is properly linked to your
My Disney Experience account. Log on to your account and scroll down to the bottom of the screen. Under "My Plans, Reservations, and Tickets" you should see your resort information located there. If this is the case, then the system should recognize your reservation to properly make dining reservations. Under the "My Disney Experience" drop-down menu, select "Reserve Dining" to start making reservations.
Lacey, your best bet if you are still receiving error messages when trying to make reservations is to contact the Walt Disney World Resort directly for assistance. A friendly Cast Member will be happy to assist in any way possible. Also, if you used a travel agent to book your stay, I would recommend reaching out to them as well. They will be very knowledgeable about what you can do going forward.
I hope you have a magical visit to the Walt Disney World Resort!
See ya real soon!
Greg
