Hi! We are from Australia and planning to treat our 3 kids with the trip of a lifetime to Disneyland. We are planning a 4 day trip, in late Sept/early Oct. We want to be able to enjoy every ride and event, so would like to plan around the closures.

    Hello there!  Welcome to planDisney!

How exciting that you are planning such a special family trip to the "Happiest Place on Earth!"  Some of our favorite memories we've made as a family have happened at the Disneyland Resort that we will cherish forever.

The best place to reference any attractions or dining locations that will be under refurbishment during your trip is the hours & events calendar.  Under both Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park, you'll be able to expand each section to what will be under refurbishment during your trip to better help you plan!

Even if one of your favorite attractions will be closed during your visit, there are so many other attractions, character experiences, entertainment, and dining to enjoy!  During our last trip, our beloved Space Mountain was closed, but we were able to go experience other attractions we had never done before like Grizzly River Run in Disney California Adventure Park.

I don't like to over-schedule our park days, but I do like to prioritize our top three attractions or entertainment options each day that I know we want to experience.  I try to cross those off first, and if we do, I know we're in good shape for the day!  I also highly recommend getting to the parks early, even before the gates are scheduled to open.  Those earlier morning hours are usually less crowded, and we're always amazed at what we're able to experience before lunchtime.

If you need further assistance with your theme park tickets or a Disneyland Resort Hotel Vacation Package, I highly recommend connecting with a local travel agent in your area.  I'm sure a local travel agent who specializes in trips to the Disneyland Resort will be able to share the best tips and recommendations for a smooth trip to the States!

I'm wishing you and your family a wonderful trip full of memories!  Please come back to planDisney if we can help with any other questions!

    Have a magical day,
    Melissa
