Hiya Robert! Thanks for stopping by planDisney with this great question!
Oh boy! What a fun trip you have planned! To be able to visit both
Disneyland and
Walt Disney World on the same trip sounds like an epic experience! While there are many similarities to both, there are countless differences that make each Resort incredibly unique. You are going to have an amazing time!
MagicBands are a great addition to have along with you for your visit! There are so many benefits to owning them, including wearing them for entry into the parks in lieu of an admission card or ticket. When you are staying at a Disney Resorts Hotel in Walt Disney World, you are eligible to purchase them at a pre-arrival price and have them shipped directly to your resort. Once you arrive, you can stop by the front desk to pick them up. At this time, Guests are unable to have their pre-arrival MagicBands sent to the Disneyland Resort. You'll have to wait until you arrive at Walt Disney World to retrieve them.
Robert, all hope may not be lost! If you want to have them during the Disneyland portion of your stay, I suggest purchasing a MagicBand+ via
shopDisney at the full purchase price. Not only will you have a plethora of options to choose from, but you should be able to ship these directly to the resort you are staying at. Also, if you are using the same email address for both your
My Disney Experience and Disneyland App, you should be able to use the same MagicBand+ for both of your visits.
I'm excited you have decided on
Disney's Pop Century Resort for the Walt Disney World portion of your visit! With the Disney Skyliner just steps away from your resort room, it will be a breeze to get to a couple of the theme parks. Your MagicBand will come in great use since you can use it as your resort room key and for purchases around the parks and resorts!
Have a magical visit, Robert!
Greg
